The listing agent asked did you find anything wrong and I replied the house had signs of previous moisture damage. Then I was asked , well did you use a moisture meter and what did it read ? and I replied , didn’t need a moisture meter when you see rotten wood and you’re standing in a puddle. And they call home inspectors “Deal killers”. Go figure that one ! If I am able to inform a prospective home buyer that the home they are looking it with a finished basement bedroom and den has been previously wet on multiple occasions so they are able to make an informed decision , then you’ll just have to call me a deal killer.
